Spicy Black Bean Soup Recipe

Chicken or vegetable stock (8c), black pepper (1/2tsp), ground cumin (1tsp), chili powder (1tbsp), bay leaf 91), seeded and diced jalapeno peppers (2), diced onion (1med.), peeled and diced carrot (1large), minced celery (2stalks), minced garlic (4-6cloves), chopped bacon (1/4lb), dried black beans (1lb).
Method of preparation:-
Take beans; soak them in a bowl for overnight. Take a saucepan, drain the beans and place them on the pan. Cover the beans with water and keep to boil for 20 minutes. Then drain the beans and keep them aside. Now take bacon and cook it in saucepan until it gets crispy and brown. Add carrot, garlic, onion, celery, bay leaf and jalapeno in the pan. Cook them for about 10 minutes or until the vegetables get tender. Add spices in the pan and mix them well to get good flavor. Now add broth and beans and keep it to simmer for about 2 hours by stirring it. Add salt in it according to taste. When the soup gets ready then serve it hot in the soup bowls.
