Easy Mexican Cornbread Recipe

Creamed corn (8oz), baking soda (1/2tsp), eggs (2), chopped green chili peppers (4oz), grated cheddar cheese (1c), buttermilk or regular milk (1/4c), salt (1/2tbsp), sugar (1tbsp), cornmeal (2c), melted shortening (1/3c).
Method of preparation:-
First heat the oven to 450 degrees F. Take a large bowl, mix cornmeal, baking soda, shortening, salt, sugar, milk and eggs in it. Mix all these ingredients well. Then add chili peppers and corn in it and mix it well. Take a baking pan, grease it and then pour ½ of the mixture into it. Then spread half of the cheese over the mixture. Now put the remaining mixture into the pan with spoon and then sprinkle the remaining cheese over it. Place the pan in the oven and bake it for about 25 minutes. When it gets ready then take it out from the oven. Keep it to cool and then serve it.
Makes a loaf of 9 inch
