Pan De Polvo (Mexican Wedding Cookie) Recipe

Flour, gold medal (3lbs), sugar (1/2c), shortening, Crisco (1 1/2lbs) and cinnamon tea (1/2 to 1c).
Method of preparation:-
Take a bowl, mix flour and sugar in it. Add shortening in it and then add cinnamon tea of half cup. Mix all these to form dough. Now divide the dough in 3 equal portions. Make balls of this dough. Roll each ball of dough about 1/8 inch thick on waxed paper. Cut it into cookies with cutter. Bake the cookies in oven at 400 degrees for about 5 minutes or until the bottom of cookies get brown. Take a blender; Blend some sugar in it to make powder of sugar. Then add cinnamon stick in it and blend it. Now dip warm cookies into this mixture. Keep the cookies to cool completely.
Cinnamon Tea:- Take a pan, put 2 American sticks of canela and water of 1 ½ cup and then add anise seeds in pan. Keep them to boil.
Makes about 19 dozen cookies
