Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies Recipe

Flour (1 1/2c), baking soda (1/2tsp), baking powder (1tsp), ground black pepper (1/4tsp), cocoa powder (1/2c), cinnamon (2tsp), salt (1/4tsp), cayenne pepper (2tsp), corn syrup or golden syrup ( 1/4c), melted butter (3 1/2tbsp).
Method of preparation:-
First heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Take 4 cookie sheets and line them with thin paper. Take a large bowl, beat sugar and butter in it. Then add syrup and applesauce in the bowl. Mix them until the mixture gets fluffy. Take a small bowl, mix cayenne, black pepper, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cocoa and flour in it. Gradually add the fluffy mixture in it and mix it well. Now take prepared cookie sheet and place the tablespoonful mixture on the sheet about 1 inch apart. Place the sheet in oven and bake it for about 12 minutes. Take out the sheet from oven and place the cookies on wire rack to cool.
Makes about 24 cookies
