Mexican Beef and Corn Bread Pie Recipe

Ingredients
1. Very lean ground beef (1lb)
2. beef broth or bouillon (1c)
3. Worcestershire sauce (1tbsp)
4. salt (1/2tsp)
5. chili powder (2tbsp)
6. pinto beans (1can)
7. shredded cheddar cheese (1c)
8. green pepper (1large)
9. whole kernel corn (1pkg.)
10. chopped tomatoes (2large)
11. chopped onion (1large)
12. vegetable oil (1tsp)

For Topping:-
1. water (3 1/2 c)
2. cornmeal (1 1/2 c)
3. butter (1 tsp)

Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 400 degrees. Take a frying pan, heat oil in it. Add beef in it and saute it until it gets pink for about 5 minutes. Drain the beef in paper towel lined strainer.

2. Again put in the pan and heat them. Add onions and cook them for 3 minutes. Now add the remaining ingredients and keep it to simmer for 20 minutes.

Topping:-
1. Take a saucepan, mix all the ingredients and keep it to boil or cook for 3 minutes.

2. Take a 2 quarter baking dish, put beef mixture in it. Spread the corn bread mixture on the top to cover the beef mixture. Bake it uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes.
