Ground beef (2lbs), corn tortillas (12), diced medium onion (1/2), diced bell pepper (1/2), garlic powder (1tsp), cumin (1tsp), paprika (2tbsp0, chili powder (2tbsp), salt (1tsp).
Method of preparation:-
Take a 2 quart. Sauce pan, add ground beef, garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, and salt in it. Add enough water to cover the meat. Keep it to boil and then keep it to simmer for about an haour on medium low heat. Add chopped onion, chopped bell pepper and then cook it for about 20 to 30 minutes.
For Beef Flautas:- Take a frying pan, heat oil in it. Cook the corn tortilla one at a time in hot oil until get soft about 5 to 10 seconds and then drain it. Strain liquid and put 1 tablespoon of beef meat in the center of each tortilla. Now roll the tortilla around the beef filling into flute shape. Use tooth pick tp hold the tortilla in the flute shape. (flautas in Spanish). Fry beef flutas for 2 to 3 minutes. Thrn remove the tooth pick and serve the flautas on a plate. Serve it with salsa, guacamole and sour cream on the side.
