Firehouse Machaca Taco Filling Recipe

Excellent meat stuffing.
Ingredients of the Recipe:
1 cup chopped onion, 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, 1 cup green salsa, 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, 2 quarts water, 3 pounds beef chuck, 1 small onion quartered and 1 tablespoon chopped jalapeno pepper.
Method of Preparation:
Mix water, beef and quartered onion in a pot. Allow to boil for some time and then reduce the heat to medium low. Cover the pot and cook gently for 2 hours. Strain the broth and reserve it. Cut the meat using a knife and then put it aside. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the onion and pepper until they become soft. Add the reserved broth, cilantro, jalapenos, shredded beef and salsa and stir well. Cook for 5 minutes and stir occasionally in between.
